Essky has been passionate about sound and music creation since little, and therefore pursued a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Audio Design from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2015, major in Sound Design. Since then, he has been working as a music producer, sound engineer and designer for numerous productions. He is currently the Founder of Tritone Production and Engineering, and the Music Producer of DIVA Music Production.

 

Essky has engaged in many large-scale concerts and stage sound projects over the years. As an experienced producer and sound engineer, he slowly became aware of the poor quality of banquet bands in the market. With the hopes to make a change, he is determined to bring the high auditory standard of large-scale productions to banquet performances. He believes that banquet performance qualities would drastically improve if small details were being attended to. To start off, Sound Arrangement; if the songs for the night would shift according to the change in atmosphere of the banquet, it would create a more fun and more relaxing ambience for the guests. Secondly, Instrument Selections; choosing the most suitable instruments for the selected songs would give guests the best adaptation of the songs. Finally, Sound Engineering; providing frontline musicians and singers with full equipment support, such as in-ear monitors and top functional gear, would allow performers to work in a comfortable environment, and audiences to enjoy top-notch auditory experience.

 

Essky decided to take up the position as the Music Producer of DIVA since he was largely impressed by the talent and perseverance of the founder of DIVA, Ernestine. As a brand new addition to the team, Essky wishes to apply his creativity, and his extensive experience and knowledge from large-scale music productions to that of DIVA, aiming to raise the quality of DIVA and to make every DIVA banquet production a unique mini concert specially customized for their beloved clients.

 

 

Essky’s composing and sound design works include: the Hong Kong Chorus Society “The Sound of Music” (1st and 2nd Run), “Annie” (English performance); Shakespeare4all "Gala Production 2017: Romeo and Juliet", "Gala Production 2016: Macbeth", "The Mid-Summer Night's Dream Radio Play" Campus Tour; Caritas Centre, Caine Road "Sub-Tenant". He was the Music director for the Stranded Whale "Northern Tower CD Release Concert", and the Da Jiu Festival "陳浩德．方伊琪金曲晚會". He also acted as the Assistant music designer of Hong Kong Repertory Theatre "A Bowful of Kindness" (re-run).

 

Apart from major local productions, Essky also plays a key role in many overseas tour productions, such as Steven Ma’s Drama Production "偶然，徐志摩" (China Tour), Lunchbox Theatrical Productions "The Hunting of Snark" (Hong Kong run), Millennium Entertainment International "The Smurfs Live On Stage" World Tour (Bahrain run), Hang Seng Youth Stage "Our Time, Our Hong Kong"(Guangzhou run), Acting Family "The Lily of the Valley" The Musical (China run) and many more.
